Decision limited exemption of the obligation to publish certain information on the use of interconnectors

02-25-2009

On February 25th, 2009, the Board of the NMa granted national network manager GTS a partial exemption of its obligation to publish information on transmission capacity at interconnectors.

The Board has granted this exemption under Regulation 1775/2007, and it has weighed up the importance of the possible businesss-confidential nature of the data in question against improving the functioning of the market by increasing transparency. This exemption is in effect as long as one or two shippers are active at an interconnector. Certain information, however, has to be published anyway, regardless of the exemption.
