The Wholesale Market Unit focuses on producers and trade companies in the wholesale market. Also, the unit will address the TSOs' non-regulatory tasks as a system operator. The unit focuses on monitoring the wholesale market, but also performs an interrelated assessment of the wholesale and retail market, European market integration and market transparency.
Furthermore, the unit is responsible for market design and market regulation, assessing supply security and import capacity and – if necessary – supervising the implementation of regulatory measures. Because of the pronounced international character of the subject matter at the core of the unit’s activities (the emergence of a North West European market and advisory tasks in a European context) the unit coordinates Energiekamer's international activities. |
